It’s okay to be imperfect.

To allow connection to happen we have to allow ourselves to be seen for who we are.

Whenever we pretend to be someone else or hold off a component of ourselves, we lose trust in ourselves.

That doesn’t just go for present and past things. That also includes things about our future. If someone asks us about what we want or desire to become and we don’t tell them the truth, we lose a part of ourselves.

And lying to ourselves about the thing we really want because of a fear of not being good enough or not being capable enough diminishes ourselves.

Going after what we truly want in life instead of avoiding it with a peanut M&M or a Nelfix series about rich people in LA is an important step to really loving ourselves and gaining connection with people.

Being able to really go after the things you want is what builds that inherent confidence in yourself and who the fuck you are.

The more we hold back bits and pieces of who we are, the less we can feel a connection with others.

If you love someone, but you don’t tell them how you feel you lose a part of yourself.

Playing the game to be liked is exhausting. And it's doing nothing good for you.

It’s the reason why it's so hard for people to connect with you. People can tell that you’re not being authentic. This isn’t going to be easy for me but I have to have the courage to start taking the steps to be okay with not being liked for who I am and what I believe.

When people ask I want to confidently tell them who I am and what I believe in in this world. I need to stop looking to others to create my thought processes for me and instead start cultivating my own thoughts and then start expressing those thoughts.

Your actions have to align with the things you want, not the things people tell you to want.

You have to be willing to be imperfect.
