Hey guys, thanks for stopping by! I set a goal to learn everything that I could about succeeding in sales in one month. I read books, listened to podcasts, did a ton of research, and put what I learned into practice. And I documented my process for it. This is my week three project update.

I spent this month learning everything I possibly can about sales. The main focus of the last two weeks was researching and reading. This week I dove into documenting and putting what I have learned into practice. I created three different posts breaking down everything that I learned about cold calls. I also polished off an email cadence that I had previously made due to the new knowledge I acquired this week. Check that out here.

The Three Posts I Created:

The Mistakes a Cold Caller Must Avoid

Throughout my research on how to best perform a cold call, I read a lot about the mistakes that cold callers make. I took notes on what a cold caller should never say, and then I created a post that breaks down everything I learned.

How To Crush A Cold Call

Next, I wrote a cold call script. I broke down a cold call from start to finish and dove deep into the different strategies I used to create this script.

How to Handle Rejections From Cold Outreach Attempts

In this post, I broke down my three-step game plan to handle any rejection.

What I Learned:

  • Sales psychology
  • How to handle rejections
  • The tonality someone should have when making a cold call
  • Cold calling from A to Z
  • Time Management

Struggles I faced:

Working seven days a week, doing this project, and other responsibilities forced me to be very selective with my time. I had to be very disciplined and say no to things like hanging out with friends. I also wasn’t able to work out as much as a normally do. But I am I stayed focused, prioritized my time, and accomplished what I set out to achieve this week.

Next Week:

Next week is the final week that I will be working on this project. I have been working seven days per week while doing this project, but I have the weekend off next week. I am excited that I will have more time to work on this project. In the next several days, I will be tackling these four posts:

Thanks for reading; check out the rest of my project here.
